Something New

Something Old

What a wild ride the past 1.5 years has been. Covid, Politics, Economy, and lets not forget the weather out there!

All has effected business, but the most challenging is being an ever changing and quick to respond to change company but still being and offering classic services. We have we have did a pretty good job of it. We have lowered our product pricing across the board and have been offering discounts and specials. We have even added a Business Directory to our website to be a resource for our clients and potential clients. We will be offering more discounts and specials, more engaging contest, more and better shows and events. We also have added a way to message us real time, more gift card and egift card promotions, more giveaways. We also have a new way of keeping in touch. Visit our website, like us on social media. Changes and roll outs will take place in the next few months.

Thank you for your support!

So Many Wedding Photographers

           Wedding Photography

So many wedding photographers! Yes there is! Before I continue with this post I want to warn everyone I am most times very upfront and this will be one of those times. I would absolutely not hire a wedding photographer that was not insured. Second I would want a photographer that is a real business. I will leave the details for another post.

Now the other part about hiring a wedding photographer, get to know the photographer, I am not saying invite him to family functions. Your wedding photographer should have the time to talk with you. I don't mean only before the contract is signed. Ask lots of questions, remember your hiring a person not a camera.

OK I can not stress this enough, ask questions about how the photographer will protect your images from start to finish. Just an example of how I protect my clients mages. I shoot with multiple SD cards both in RAW and JPEG. Each SD card is backed up on a portable hard drive on location. When I get back to studio I upload all Images to another hard drive which is part of a RAID system. Basically what I am trying to get across is losing some of or all your wedding images is not only possible, but has happened.

One more thing, hiring a wedding photographer is all in the details, just a few examples of what Perfect Creations Photography has to offer.

Professional Online Galleries

Professional Online Ordering

Professional Album Design

Online Scheduling

Ability to Order Wall Art, Prints, Albums, Photobooks, ETC

OK OK really just one more thing, I promise; Equipment, who is the fool who said "A master can use a cell phone and shoot a wedding, that is total nonsense. Ask about equipment. A natural light photographer photographing a wedding in a not so well lite Church or Country Club as an example, will not end well. Photographing a wedding with one lens, will not end well. Shooting an outside wedding without some form of diffusion will not end well.

What is Maternity Photography?

What is Maternity Photography?

What is Maternity Photography? Clearly it has something to do with being Pregnant! But it really is much more. It is that "much more" that is different for everyone. Don't get wrapped up thinking tradition Maternity Photography is the only way to go. It can mean Family to some, Life changes to others. It can mean to celebrate the "Glow" a woman has during that time. Maternity photography can also mean to celebrate the Beauty of a woman at this time. I am not stating that their is anything wrong with traditional Maternal Photography. But other options are available that maybe more of how you Feel at this time in your life. Let me explain, Being pregnant for the first time is different then being pregnant a second time, being pregnant at 23 is different at 33, being pregnant a second time with a new husband can feel different.

What I can say to help, is talk to the Photographer. This is where a Professional Photographer is different then "the person with a camera" Something else I would like to point out. Use a Photographer who is insured. "God Forbid" as my mom used to say, you fall or get hurt by tripping over a light stand or cord, I don't know of any non professional photographers who pay for liability insurance.

One more thing I would like to tell you what we believe, and do at Perfect Creations Photography. We take the time to talk with our clients, we ask questions and answer questions. We have maternity gowns, headpieces, etc. We are a Professional Company, we are insured and background checked. A few other benefits I would like to point out, Online Scheduling, Online Galleries, Online Ordering.

Weddings, Weddings, and more Weddings

Hello, Hello!

Ok, Now, what I really want to talk about is "Booking your wedding photographer" folks I have to say it again not all photographers are Professional Photographers! If you book with a person who does not do photography full time, you may get, (most likely) not what you really would call great images and/or great service. I implore you to ask questions and more questions, also please understand the difference between a person with a camera and a REAL photographer. Would you want a part time doctor or dentist to do any work for you. I hear it time and time again; the photographer does not return my messages, can not get in touch with the photographer, not happy with images, did not give us our album we paid for, no options, no this, no that!!! STOP asking the lawn man, the accountant, the sales clerks, Etc. to be your Wedding Photographer! you will pay for what you get 99.9% of the time!

If any couples want to know more or have questions please do not hesitate to call us. We do not charge for questions or answers.
